Our venue is suited to various occasions such as business meetings and seminars, anniversaries, birthdays, bridal and baby showers, graduation parties, memorials, wedding ceremonies and receptions. We also welcome movie and television filming.
Yes, the RCH backyard garden overlooking the Assiniboine River is a lovely spot for a wedding ceremony in summer. Note that tents are not allowed on the property, and if you would like guests seated, you will need to provide chairs yourself.
Your ceremony inside Ralph Connor House can be informal (furniture left in place) or formal (furniture moved to accommodate seating). Formal set-up can accommodate up to approximately 40 guests in the living room and 20 in the attached sunroom. In this case, the ceremony takes place in the living room’s bay window. Alternatively, we can seat 60 guests in our lower-level theatre.
We can accommodate up to 100 guests for a stand-up reception or 65 guests for a sit-down meal using multiple rooms throughout the house.
We provide all equipment such as tables, chairs, glassware, china, tablecloths, A/V equipment, and more.
We work alongside our exclusive in-house caterers, West Gate Catering. Their wide range of offerings include buffet, cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres, plated dinners/lunches, desserts and more! All catering questions for events with Ralph Connor House can go through our events team.
You are welcome to bring in a wedding cake purchased from a licensed bakery. West Gate Catering exclusively provides all other food.
We provide host or cash bar, or a combination of the two for our events. We supply the liquor license, bartender(s), our selection of house beverages, and special requests. Bar service closes at 11:00 p.m.
No. Our license does not permit any product on site other than those purchased and served by us.
Our driveway can accommodate six vehicles by reservation for specific guests. There is ample street parking available with a two-hour limit until 8 p.m. It is possible to get a time limit waiver if desired.
Your rental agreement allows you access to the public floors of the house as well as our outdoor grounds. The property has many striking architectural features that provide gorgeous backdrops for photographers.
We have a ramp for entering the house on the main floor and a chairlift for anyone with restricted mobility between the main and lower level. Note, the house does not have wheelchair-accessible washrooms.
Yes. There is no smoking permitted on the property, and we ask that guests refrain from wearing strongly scented products.
